Below are the different types of heat transfer products we carry and their application guidelines. Please bookmark this page and refer to often. Remember, with each product you apply, temperature and pressure are very important for ensuring long lasting garment decoration!

**Tips**
  • Always test cut prior to any production run.
  • For optimal cutting and weeding, maintain a line thickness of at least 1/16" for lettering & logos.​
Cad-Cut Ultraweed HTV
Note: If the garment is 50% or more cotton it will require 280°F + degrees.

Electra Foils and Heat Transfer Adhesive

Recommended Accessories: Heat Transfer Adhesive and a Heat Transfer Cover Sheet

Four Ways to Apply Heat Transfer Foils:
1. Standard Application Method
Cut your design from CAD-CUT® Heat Press Adhesive, heat apply and peel. Next lay foil smoothly over the adhesive and press for the recommended time, temperature, and pressure for a true mirror like finish.

2. Matte Finish
A second application will give the foil a less mirror-like, more matte finish. After your initial application, let cool, peel the transfer foil away and place the garment under the heat press again using a cover sheet.

3. Distressed
Crumple the foil and then heat apply. The result is a custom “crackle” finish that’s still shiny and reflective. The more crumpled you make the foil, the more distressed the look.

4. Multi-Color Effect
Apply the distressed foil as usual. Once it’s cool, peel back the foil and apply a different color piece of smooth foil to fill in the voids.

• Weed your design and then place your mask on top of your design. (It’s reusable so make sure to save it!)
• Peel design off the mask and place on your project
• Apply design using the correct temperature (above) for the type of vinyl you have
• Peel based on instructions above (warm for HTV, hot for glitter HTV)

Care Instructions
Machine wash inside-out using mild detergent. Do not use bleach. Dry at a normal dryer setting on household machines. Do not dry clean.

Storage
Store in a cool and dry area around 65 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit with 50% relative humidity. Keep away from direct heat, sunlight and humidity. Recommended shelf life is one year.
Glitter Express Print pattern HTV
• Mask needed: High Tack
• Time: 12 seconds
• Temperature: 302°F/150°C
• Pressure: Medium
• Peel: Hot

Ultracolor max Dtf transfers
These transfers are intended for application on cotton, pre-shrunk cotton, polyester or poly/cotton blends and tri-blends.
1. Set Your Heat Press
  • Temperature: 290° F
  • Time: 12-15 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium

2. Preheat Your Apparel
  • Place apparel on platen and press for 3-5 seconds to help remove any moisture.

3. Position Your Transfer & Press
  • Position on the apparel – you should be able to see the transfer as it will appear on the apparel.
  • Close the machine and press for 12-15 seconds.

4. Peel The Film While Hot
  • Open the machine and wait 3-5 seconds.
  • Peel off the clear plastic film carrier quickly in a smooth even motion.

5. Press Quickly One More Time
  • Once the film has been removed, do one more quick press for 3-4 seconds.

Tips:
  • With normal application no cover sheet is needed. A cover sheet could potentially block heat from reaching the application. As long as your transfer is complete covered by the plastic carrier sheet you will not harm the transfer.
Storage:
  • Store your transfers in a cool dry place out of extreme hot or cold temperatures or moisture. Keeping them in a sealed bag will prolong the life of the transfers.
Care Instructions:
  • These transfers withstand 50+ washes. Machine wash on cold inside-out using mild detergent. Do not use bleach. Dry at a normal dryer setting on household machines. Do not dry clean.

These transfers are intended for application on cotton, polyester or poly/cotton blends. 
1. Set Your Heat Press
  • Temperature: 310° F
  • Time: 15-20 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium/Firm 6-8 (60-80 ​psi)

2. Preheat Your Apparel
  • Place apparel on platen and press for 3-5 seconds.

3. Position Your Transfer & Press
  • Remove the backing paper. You should be left with the transfer on a clear plastic carrier. Position on the apparel – you should be able to see the transfer as it will appear on the apparel.
  • Close the machine and press for 15-20 seconds.

4. Peel Warm
  • Open the machine and wait 3-5 seconds.
  • Peel off the clear plastic carrier quickly in a smooth even motion.

Tips:
  • Do not use a pressing pillow
  • With normal application no cover sheet is needed. A cover sheet could potentially block heat from reaching the application. If your transfer is completely covered by the plastic carrier sheet you will not harm the transfer.
Storage:
  • Store your transfers in a cool dry place out of extreme hot or cold temperatures or moisture. Keeping them in a sealed bag will prolong the life of the transfers.
